21 districts in Odisha to face moderate rainfall along with thunderstorm and lighting, yellow alert for 21 district along with Sundergarh

Bhubaneswar: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) on Friday issued an yellow alert for Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Angul, Dhenkanal, Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, Koraput, Nawarangpur, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Deogarh, and Sundargarh districts over thunderstorm and lightning.

“Light to moderate rain or thundershower very likely to occur at many places over the districts of Sundargarh, Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, Deogarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Jagatsinghpur and at a few places over the rest districts of Odisha.”

On Monday and Tuesday, heavy rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Angul, Dhenkanal, Boudh, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Koraput, Nawarangpur, and Rayagada, the IMD bulletin informed.

Bhubaneswar will experience a partly cloudy sky with one or two spells of rain or thundershower. Maximum and Minimum temperatures will be around 34°C and 26 °C respectively in the Capital City, the IMD added.
